There is nothing like a basket bag to set off your summer wardrobe. Raffia, straw and canvas bags just scream summer and there are a huge variety of options to chose from. So if you are in the market for something new and would like a little help choosing – here are my top ten favourites. 1. Classic tote bag
This tote with its tan trim details is fast becoming as summer classic. The style is based on the Loewe Basket bag which comes with a more designer price tag. I got a similar bag to this one from M&S for my birthday which is unfortunately completely sold out. However this one from Henrietta Spencer is a great alternative.
2. Straw tote with scarf handles (Vinted)
Vinted is a great place to find a bargain option like this lovely bag with its black piping and scarf wrapped handles. This one is under £10
3. Mango mini tote
This affordable bag comes in this lovely buttermilk yellow colour as well as black. I had also hoped to feature my M&S mini tote but again its out of stock.
4. Zara mini tote (Vinted)
Here is another example of a Vinted bargain, again you can get this bag for under 10, and it really looks the part with this attractive navy blue detailing and detachable cross body strap
5. Arket leather trimmed straw bucket bag
I love the bucket bag shape its practical and stylish. This is a lovely option and a great price point given is leather trim.
6. River Island summer bucket bag (Vinted)
Vinted comes up trumps again with this luxe looking bag with its gold detailing. Possibly more of an evening than every day option but absolutely fab for anyone’s summer wardrobe. Priced at just £10.
7. Ted Baker Alyssa Handbag
I absolutely love this handbag. I was very close to purchasing it for an upcoming wedding, but chose something a little more affordable from the Dune Outlet instead. At under £100 (sale price) this is more of a premium price but probably something that will look great in your wardrobe for years to come. Also comes in two other colours.
8. Straw handbag with black and gold details (Vinted)
This bag is very smart with its black faux leather detailing and gold clasp. Its available for less than £20 on Vinted.
9. Seafolly Canvas tote bag
A canvas bag is practical and stylish option for staycations and holidays in the sun. Canvas is particularly on trend at the moment, made popular by the Prada, Chanel and others. This version by Seafolly via John Lewis is smart and comes at an affordable price point.
10. Marc Jacobs canvas tote (Vinted)
Some Vinted items are completely new. This is an excellent example and as the photo shows is brand new and a bargain at less than £20
